For cutting and binding low-volume jobs, in-plants turn to a variety of compact solutions. We asked several of them about their favorite machines.
Inkcups brought its Helix cylindrical inkjet printers to PRINTING United Expo. Learn how your in-plant can utilize direct-to-shape printing technology to print onto glassware, stadium cups, shot glasses, water bottles, candles, and more.
At PRINTING United Expo, IPI sat down with former manager Debbie Pavletich to learn how her team at Ricoh helps in-plants improve their operations by expanding their services, optimizing their workflows, developing standard operating procedures, and increasing their value.
“It’s been amazing!” enthused Laura Lockett, of California State University, Sacramento, on the third day of PRINTING United Expo. Walking the show floor gave her ideas for new services and inspired her to take the leap into apparel printing. Hear her observations as she talks with IPI Editor Bob Neubauer.
PRINTING United Expo was everything we had hoped it would be. It was an enthusiastic reunion of industry friends, an opportunity to see the latest technology in person, and an enlightening educational experience.
At PRINTING United Expo, IPI Editor Bob Neubauer caught up with Chad Simpson, supervisor of Print Services at East Baton Rouge Parish School System, who was scoping out wide-format printers to replace the aging models in his shop. The Expo was a perfect place to do this, he said: “You come to one spot, see it all.”
“Larger. More equipment. More people.” That was how Louis Ferrell, manager of the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority’s in-plant, described PRINTING United Expo to IPI Editor Bob Neubauer when they talked at the show. He was there to find replacements for three wide-format roll printers and a flatbed. But he also made a few unexpected discoveries on the show floor.
Julio Rosado, director of the New York Police Department's Printing Section, was at PRINTING United Expo, and IPI Editor Bob Neubauer caught up with him to find out why he came to the Expo and what he took away from the experience.
During PRINTING United Expo, IPI Editor Bob Neubauer sat down with Government Publishing Office Director Hugh Halpern to get his take on the show, learn about the latest technology developments at GPO, and hear his advice for fellow in-plant managers.
