But it also deserves credit for being proactive in finding solutions, despite being hamstrung with retiree pre-funding requirements and inflexible union labor contracts. Now is the time for all hands on deck in Congress to throw the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) a much-needed lifeline.

Much to the delight of on-the-go consumers, a number of the promotions incorporate discounts for the use of mobile-based technologies. Citing the fact that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) cannot wait indefinitely for legislation, the board of governors has directed management to accelerate the restructuring of Postal Service operations to further reduce costs in order to strengthen its finances. Specifically, the board approved restructuring initiatives and instructed the USPS to revise its 2012 five-year comprehensive plan to account for current financial and liquidity conditions.
In January 2013, IDEAlliance undertook a program to reduce the cost of User License Codes by providing the codes seamlessly through mail preparation software. Under the new program, IDEAlliance will now provide Mail.dat User License Codes through Royalty License Agreements with participating software providers.
