Blue's experience includes many years of service knowledge and management experience in a host of critical areas ranging from application engineering, project and support management and aftermarket business development.

In Augsburg, Germany, manroland web systems presented the world premiere of its FoldLine finishing system for industrial digital printing—the book block solution FormerLine and efficient workflow solutions. The FoldLine finishing system for industrial digital printing is designed to produce newspapers in any format (tabloid, broadsheet, Berlin) in both inline and offline operation.
Four years after installing a Kodak NexPress 2500 digital color press, University of Oklahoma Printing & Mailing Services has just upgraded to a NexPress SX3300. The new digital press brings a 31 percent boost in speed, improved quality output and a new set of ink solutions that will allow the 94-employee in-plant to produce scores of specialty applications.

The installation of Lewisburg Printing's new six-color, 73˝ R900 XXL press from manroland inc. is almost complete. The new unit will complement an existing six-color, 73˝ Roland that was purchased in 2008.
Tony Langley, chairman of manroland sheetfed, noted in his Chairman’s Review that 2012 had been a remarkably successful year and that the outlook for 2013 was looking positive, although unlikely to surpass 2012, which has set a new record for both operating and pre-tax profits.

If anything, the emergence of eBooks as an über niche tucked inside the book publishing space has provided more opportunities for the printing community to show off its diversity to publishing clients. Some of the nation's largest book printers have dug deep into their coffers to fortify printing capabilities and capacity, a sign of health despite an economy that refuses to break into full recovery model.
