Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. has acquired DocuSource, a dealership headquartered in Cerritos, Ca., to increase Konica Minolta’s document management systems, solutions and services in the southern California region. DocuSource will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. and maintain its two current locations in Cerritos and Los Angeles as well as its entire roster of employees.

In-plants from around the region attended the event, which featured several seminars plus an opportunity to see demos of equipment from Konica Minolta and its partners.
Nautilus Solar will be the owner and provider of the 839.5-kilowatt photovoltaic system being installed as part of “Project Sunway,” and will sell the generated electricity to Konica Minolta at a discount to its current utility rate. Based on standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, this project will offset the CO² emissions from 132 passenger vehicles, or the electricity used by 84 homes.
Komori Corp. has signed a global sales agreement with Konica Minolta Business Technologies, the information equipment business unit of Konica Minolta Holdings Inc. As a result, Konica Minolta will supply to Komori the bizhub PRESS series, centered on the bizhub PRESS C8000 digital printing system, in the United States, Europe, Japan and China.
Now in its 18th year, the On Demand Conference and Exposition tried something new this time when it moved south of the Mason-Dixon line to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Not everyone was happy with the results. Though some exhibits were packed at intervals, others were not so busy. Perhaps the absence of key companies like Xerox, Kodak, Presstek and Standard caused some potential attendees to skip this year's event. Or maybe D.C. was too far for the Northeast day trippers who attended previous years' shows in Philadelphia, Boston and New York.
