Fujifilm North America's Graphic Systems Division will demonstrate the Acuity Advance Select 8 UV flatbed inkjet printer at the ISA International Sign Expo 2013, April 3-6, 2013, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas in booth #1512. The Acuity LED 1600 wide-format hybrid inkjet printer will also be on display, as well as samples of wide-format media.

What is striking about the round of installations this year over last, we are hearing about far fewer installation problems and challenges with substrates. We are hearing more about the costs and need to expand post-processing capabilities rather than installation or performance of the presses themselves. Business cases are still strong but, unlike the earliest adopters, those needs were not as acute, so they had the luxury of hanging back and biding their time until that time was right.

PITTSBURGH—Printing Industries of America (PIA) has announced that a dozen technologies were recipients of the 2012 InterTech Technology Awards. The technologies receiving this award have been judged as "truly innovative and are expected to advance the performance of the graphic communications industry," according to PIA.
