EFI has achieved a victory in its Spanish patent litigation with Jose Vicente Tomas Claramonte, the president of KERAjet, S.A., involving EFI Cretaprint's ceramic digital inkjet printing systems. "The court's ruling vindicates what we have maintained all along: that Claramonte's lawsuit was baseless and that his patent is invalid," said EFI's General Counsel, Bryan Ko.

Coloredge turned to EFI for the replacement of several wide-format digital printing presses damaged by Hurricane Sandy. “When the flooding occurred, we reached out to EFI and asked if they could expedite every part of the new equipment process—from orders to shipments, right through to installations,” said Jeb Ball, Coloredge’s executive vice president and COO.

EFI announced that Gigantic Color of Dallas is acquiring an EFI VUTEk GS5000r five-meter, roll-to-roll UV printer. This is the 500th installation of the GS series of VUTEk printers. “We were looking for a reliable, very fast work-horse machine and wanted to work with an industry leader, a company with the latest technologies and one capable of addressing every possible application need,” said John Bowers, Sr., owner of Gigantic Color.
