During the first quarter of 2014, Eastman Kodak experienced a net loss of $36 million. The loss is an improvement of $54 million on a comparable basis. The results are in line with company expectations and key product lines in the strategic technology businesses achieved solid revenue growth.

Eastman Kodak is backing the new CEO Jeff Clarke, who succeeds Antonio Perez, in the form of $90 million tabbed for research and development and another $50 million in capital expenditures for 2014.
Releasing the financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2013, Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke stated, "I am excited about the strong increases we are seeing in revenues from our emerging technology businesses that will create the foundation for Kodak's future growth."
Jeffrey Clarke has been selected as the new CEO of Kodak and a member of its board of directors. He replaces Antonio Perez, now special advisor to the board. "Jeff Clarke is a talented and proven executive who is well qualified to lead Kodak through our next era, which I believe will be one of innovation and growth," said Perez.

In the Hall of Fame of great conferences (if there were such a thing) it would be tough to beat last month's In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) conference. Kodak has filed its Plan of Reorganization and Disclosure Statement with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The company expects the court to schedule a hearing in mid-June to determine the adequacy of the disclosures contained in the documents to provide creditors the ability to evaluate the company’s Plan of Reorganization.
