Producing booklets has gotten a whole lot easier at Westat since the employee-owned research firm’s in-plant installed a new Duplo System 5000 collating/booklet making system.
“We purchased the booklet maker because we produce a lot of booklets, and not all of our machines had finishing capabilities on them,” reports Ezra Schneider, manager of the eight-employee Reproduction and Copy Services department.

Logistics Management Institute recently upgraded the finishing capabilities of its Office Services department by installing a new Duplo near-line booklet making system in its McLean, Va., facility. Comprising the DSF-2000 sheet feeder, the DBM-500 booklet maker, the slit/cut/crease unit, and the ASM-500 square spine module, the new equipment is being used to produce marketing material and signature booklets for LMI, and to score tri-fold flyers and cards.
