IPG Editor Bob Neubauer met with in-plant managers in Minneapolis recently, where he spoke at a Canon open house.

Next Wednesday, February 9, IPG Editor Bob Neubauer will be in the Twin Cities to take part in an open house event geared toward in-plants. Called “Take Your In-plant Operation to the Next Dimension,” the event will feature several speakers and include numerous equipment demos.

Always on the move, the On Demand Conference & Exposition will take place in Washington, D.C., next month for the first time. We asked some of the participants what they plan to have on display.

Any in-plant manager lucky enough to be in Chicago last month for Graph Expo got to witness some significant developments in the world of graphic arts. Dubbed “The Inkjet Graph Expo” by some, the show featured more inkjet technology than most in-plant managers had ever seen in one place.

Bucknell University's Office of Publications, Print and Mail has become one of the first in-plants to install the new Xerox Color 800 digital press. The 80-page-per-minute, 2,400x2,400-dpi printer debuted at On Demand this past spring.

MARY BOCCHIETTI’S heart sank when she arrived at the Pueblo City School District’s in-plant one July morning in 2009 and saw three feet of muddy water filling the entire shop. A water main had burst during the night, flooding the lower level of the district’s administration building, where the nine-employee Document Services Center (DSC) resided.

IPG has produced three videos showing the highlights of Graph Expo. All are available on the IPG Web site. Editor Bob Neubauer visited all the Graph Expo hot spots with his video camera and created a short documentary that captures the excitement of the Chicago trade show, while showing off many of the most interesting new technologies, including several new inkjet presses.
