MOONACHIE, NJ—Trade printer 4over Inc. recently held an open house event at its facility here following a major overhaul necessitated by the damage wrought by Hurricane Sandy last year. The event brought in more than 500 existing customers from New Jersey and New York.

4over Inc. held an open house at its Moonachie, NJ plant last month. The event was a huge success, boasting an attendance of over 500 existing customers from New Jersey and New York. Guests watched a slide show displaying the before and after photos, after Hurricane Sandy nearly destroyed the plant, putting it under nearly four feet of water.

GLENDALE, CA—National trade printer 4over Inc. has purchased two multi-color Komori Lithrone GL40 sheetfed offset presses. 4over Inc. is a print provider with locations in California, Ohio, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Illinois, Arizona and Mississauga, Canada. The first GL40 press was recently delivered and installed at 4over Inc.’s Moonachie, NJ, facility—a location that is rebounding from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. The second press is scheduled for delivery later this year and is expected to be operational in the fall.

As a host of community leaders and journalists looked on last month, trade printer 4over cut the ribbon to officially open its new 100,000-square-foot printing facility in Huber Heights, Ohio. The Glendale, Calif.-based company has experienced tremendous growth since opening its doors in 2001, so it decided to add a fifth facility in the Dayton area to cut turnaround times in half for customers in the Midwest, East Coast and Southern regions. These include a number of in-plants that are outsourcing work they can’t cost-effectively produce in-house. IT’S BEEN a busy month for me. After a long break, I hit the road for a series of conferences and plant tours that brought me from Texas to Ohio to Washington, D.C. First I headed down to the University of North Texas to attend the TACUP conference. The Texas Association of College and University Printers has been meeting for 30 years now, and this year’s event drew 42 attendees.
