New Videos Let You Experience IPMA Conference

There was an enthusiasm among attendees at the recent In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association conference that exceeded all previous years. IPG captured some of this excitement in a series of videos documenting the 52nd IPMA conference. It may have looked and felt just like a traditional ACUP conference, but when the Association of College and University Printers met in Dallas in April, it was really a new beginning. This was the association's first meeting as a dues-paying, non-profit organization.

ACUP Wraps Up In Dallas

The very last session at ACUP 2011 proved to be one of the best. Jimmy Friend, director of Printing and Distribution Solutions at the University of North Texas, took the stage and revealed that his award-winning in-plant once produced such low-quality work and had such bad service that nearly every customer he surveyed described its service as unacceptable. He then described the steps he took, over the past 15 years, to turn his in-plant completely around into the roll model it is today. 

IPMA 2011 Conference Just Months Away

In-plant managers from around the country will gather in Charleston, S.C., June 5-9 for the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association’s 52nd educational conference. The “Charting the Future” conference will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities and a vendor fair.
