The recent In-plant Innovators Conference brought in-plant managers to Washington, D.C., for a full day of education and networking. Our new video shows highlights from the event, held at the Government Publishing Office.

"The threat of outsourcing is evolving." That's how Consultant Howie Fenton put it on Tuesday when he addressed the In-plant Innovators Conference in Washington, D.C.

The Association of College and University Printers met in Cincinnati for its 52nd conference, which boasted the highest attendance in years. The conference featured sessions Web-to-print, variable data, wide-format and bindery, and several sessions were devoted to in-plant justification, benchmarking and marketing.

Nathan Safran and Marco Boer gave insight into the minds of marketers and how they view direct mail at the Inkjet Summit.

Though IPG has twice previously hosted a spring in-plant conference at the Government Publishing Office, the new In-plant Innovators Conference was the first one to focus specifically on the need for in-plants to think —and act — in innovative ways.

At the Inkjet Summit, Marco Boer, VP of I.T. Strategies, said that a growth spurt for production inkjet printing is on the way.

The 2017 Avanti User Group Conference will include more than 50 sessions about the Avanti Slingshot and Avanti Classic platforms.
