Thousands packed the convention center for the industry’s largest event. For in-plants, there were tons of educational and networking opportunities.

The last of eight regional in-plant conferences presented by the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association wrapped up yesterday near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and drew an impressive crowd of more than 50.

I recently returned from Atlanta where I spent three action-packed days on the floor of PRINTING United Expo 2023. There was so much happening I can’t believe I fit it all in.

Last week in Phoenix, the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association held its seventh of eight Road Show events at Deer Valley Unified School District.

To give you a taste of what’s ahead at PRINTING United Expo, here’s a look back at last year’s show when IPI Editor Bob Neubauer talked with a dozen in-plant managers on the show floor to learn what equipment they were checking out.

On the second day of PRINTING United Expo, IPI’s Bob Neubauer talked with Del Shankle of CHRISTUS Health about his in-plant’s impressive expansion, which allowed the shop to grow its wide-format area with a second flatbed. He came to the Expo with a checklist of technologies to learn about—a list that includes inkjet.

Chris Cornelison will keynote the 2024 IPMA educational conference during which he will share the keys to building a super culture that fosters teamwork, improves performance, and produces happy employees.

On day two of PRINTING United Expo, the in-plant community gathered for a breakfast discussion about “Innovative Applications to Expand Your In-plant’s Services.” The forum provided managers with ideas and inspirations for new types of work and projects their shops can produce.  

At PRINTING United Expo, IPI Editor Bob Neubauer sat down with Christopher Donlon, senior manager of Digital and Print Production at Kohler Co. to discuss recent changes at his in-plant and learn about the automated bindery equipment he is investigating at the Expo.

Today in Atlanta, hundreds of in-plant managers will join thousands of other print providers for the opening day of PRINTING United Expo. At noon, about 50 of those in-plants will meet at a luncheon hosted by In-plant Impressions.
