The 100 printers in attendance at the Inkjet Summit received an in-depth education about production inkjet printing.

The third annual Inkjet Summit begins next week. Among the many attendees, 12 in-plant operations will be present to learn about the possibilities of production inkjet printing.

The third-annual Inkjet Summit was the largest and best one yet. More than a dozen in-plants attended this year, enjoying an abundance of educational presentations, user panels and case history discussions, plus plenty of peer-to-peer networking.

The new SureColor S-Series line of 64˝ solvent inkjet printers from Epson is equipped with a new Epson PrecisionCore TFP print head, and provides outstanding levels of reliability, durability and image quality to the signage, vehicle graphics, fine art and packaging markets. 

According to a recent report from InfoTrends, Canon Solutions America is the market share leader in the national and worldwide continuous-feed inkjet market.

These are good days for the production inkjet printing business. Both users and manufacturers are growing, everyone seems to be making money and promises of technology advancement are being delivered upon. If there is any complaint from users of inkjet equipment, it seems to be that the technology is evolving too rapidly.

The debut Jetcomm Conference has been deemed a success, bringing together HP Inkjet Web Press users from around the world and including a tour of the World Bank Group's in-plant.

Visitors to next week's Jetcomm Conference will get an up-close look at the World Bank Group's in-plant's HP Inkjet T-230 production inkjet press. The conference, which overlaps the DscoopX conference, will bring HP Inkjet Web Press users together.

As production inkjet technology evolves, cut-sheet inkjet printers are becoming a viable and affordable option for in-plants. Next week, IPG will host a webinar with two in-plant managers who will share their cut-sheet inkjet experiences.

Inkjet was everywhere this week as three of the top digital press vendors launched inkjet presses—all on the same day.
