Thanks to a new production inkjet press with in-line finishing, the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District's in-plant has virtually eliminated outsourcing, while increasing productivity and improving staff morale.

To mark its 40th anniversary, Duplo USA is holding a three-city summer road show. It will kick off on June 20 in Dayton, Ohio. Attendees will be able to see demonstrations of digital color applications produced on print finishing equipment.

A few years ago, the Admissions department at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale needed 1.8 million brochures mailed to prospective students. The job took the in-plant 20 days straight, working 24 hours per day, to finish. But now, thanks to a new addition at the in-plant, jobs like that will take significantly less time.

After shutting down its offset presses, Butler University's in-plant found that its conventional folding machine was ill-suited to the short-run digital work it was producing. So the shop decided to make a change.

Unfortunately for the staff at University of North Texas' in-plant, the bookletmaker it was relying on was bringing more headaches than heroics. Then the in-plant made a move that would turn everything around.

The Card Creaser works by turning a handle to process digitally printed sheets through the rotary creasing shafts.

DataBind, in partnership with Lami Corp., has brought the company’s fully automatic laminators to the U.S. and positioned the line as a time-saving alternative to pouch-fed lamination. The companies have also introduced a new on-demand lamination and die-cutting process.

University of Virginia recently acquired an Océ Colorado 1640 roll-to-roll printer and a Colex SharpCut FBC-5×10 flatbed cutter/router.

To produce a general fund budget book for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, the Graphic Arts Department had to hand-collate the pages, which took hours of the employees' time. A Tornado Autopunch EX from Rhin-O-Tuff took care of the problem.

Baumer hhs announced it will be an exhibitor at PRINTING United, taking place in Dallas, Oct. 23-25, 2019. President Chris Raney believes PRINTING United will give the company a fresh opportunity to promote its technical leadership.
