Inline Finishing Helps Highmark’s In-plant Excel

Most of the finishing touches at Highmark's two main Pennsylvania facilities are applied using inline equipment from C.P. Bourg. In Pittsburgh, three of the Xerox iGen4s have Bourg BMEx booklet makers with BCMEx creasers, and all three Nuvera 288 EAs at both the Pittsburgh and Camp Hill locations have Bourg BDFx finishers to stitch, fold and trim booklets, reports and various other documents.

Folder Enhances Automation for Humanitarian Group

The 10-person in-plant at humanitarian organization World Vision, in Federal Way, Wash, has installed a new Baum 20 Autoset folder to produce event kits. With the Baum folder and its Konica Minolta C6000 high-end copiers, World will now be able to produce these products totally in-house.

After putting up with aging equipment for years, Printing Services at California State University at San Bernadino recently replaced its Challenge cutter with a Perfecta 76 HTVC, installed a new James Burn Lhermite DocuPunch to replace an old GBC Streampunch and added a new Standard Horizon system, including an SPF-200A stitcher/folder, an FC 200 face trimmer and a 10-bin air-fed VAC-100A collator.
