Heightened concern and awareness about disaster recovery was also evident at Xplor 2001—a direct result of the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. Although the subject is heavily explored every year at the conference, many attendees were placing a greater emphasis on the issue as part of their overall document strategy.
