IPG recently attended the grand opening of the new Xerox Color Innovation Center in Cherry Hill, N.J., along with dozens of area printers, including several in-plant managers. The 1,729-square-foot center, just outside of Philadelphia, boasts a spacious demo area with numerous innovative color products on display. Attendees, which included in-plant managers from Temple University, Villanova University, the Community College of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Gas Works, enjoyed a keynote presentation from Rochester Institute of Technology professor Frank Romano about the future of printed products.
Before going to lunch, attendees visited the demo center, which featured equipment like the ColorQube 8860 Solid Ink Color Printer, the WorkCentre 7775 Color Multifunction Printer and the Xerox 700 Digital Color Press. The highlight was the Xerox Color 1000 Press, which drew a large crowd. Lytrod Software was also at the event, offering demonstrations of its software.

Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 180 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.
