Printers are by transitioning from traditional print shops into marketing service providers. To find out how and why they are differentiating themselves in this way, IKON Office Solutions (now a Ricoh company) and The NAPL Network are offering half-day, hands-on workshops in four cities.
All programs are designed for printing executives and their management teams, and will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon at an IKON facility. Here are the planned locations, cities and dates:
• June 3: Boston (One Federal Street)
• June 4: Alexandria, VA (4900 Seminary Road)
• August 5: Lisle, Ill. (Chicago area: 410 Warrenville Road)
• August 6: Bloomington, Minn. (Minneapolis area: 2740 American Boulevard West)
During the workshops, attendees will discuss current industry data, participate in a hands-on variable data demonstration with Objectif Lune using production equipment from IKON and evaluate a real-life case study.
Joseph P. Truncale, president and CEO of NAPL, will deliver the keynote address, discussing the state of the industry and the importance of cross-media campaigns. Howie Fenton, senior consultant at NAPL, will present a case study of a printer's transformation. Lunch is included for those who would like to tour the IKON facility.
