Manager Honored With Franklin Award

Wes Friesen, manager of Revenue Collections and Community Offices for Portland General Electric (PGE), was presented with the prestigious Franklin Award at the recent MAILCOM 2010 Annual Convention in Atlantic City.

A frequent contributor to IPG and other magazines, Friesen is also a university instructor and frequent speaker at in-plant industry events—when he’s not overseeing PGE’s printing and mailing operation.

The Franklin Award honors leaders whose contributions maintain the value of mail communications. Friesen received an engraved bust of Franklin’s image in recognition of his achievements.

In 2000, Friesen, was honored with the MAILCOM Technical Excellence Award for helping develop a state-of-the-art mail production operation that serves more than 800,000 PGE customers.
