New IPG Videos Highlight Minnesota In-plants
Two new videos on the IPG site show scenes from Editor Bob Neubauer's recent trip to Minneapolis. There, he toured the University of St. Thomas' in-plant, then met with several in-plant managers at a Canon open house.
At the University of St. Thomas, Manager John Barron showed off his shop's Xerox iGen3 and its Xanté Ilumina digital envelope press and explained why his operation decided to get rid of its offset presses a few years ago. He also revealed that his in-plant received the right of first refusal last fall, and he described how the in-plant has benefited from it.
The other video shows highlights from an in-plant open house held at Loffler Companies, a distributor of Canon products. Despite temperatures in the single digits, managers from several in-plants attended, including those from Cargill, Roseville Area High School and Coborn's. Neubauer gave a presentation that explored ways in-plants can show their value to their parent organizations.
