UNT's In-plant Featured in New Video
A few weeks ago, right at the end of the ACUP conference in Dallas, dozens of in-plant managers from around the country traveled to the University of North Texas to take a tour of its award-winning in-plant. A new IPG video documents this visit, showing off UNT's impressive capabilities.
The video takes a look at the in-plant's new five-color, 29" Ryobi offset press along with its Ryobi 3404 DI direct imaging press. It also shows off the in-plant's digital printing room, in which it keeps its two HP Indigo digital presses (a 5500 and a 3500) as well as two Océ VarioPrints (a 6160 and a 2100) and an Epic coater. Director Jimmy Friend talks about how these capabilities have helped the in-plant serve its customers better.
The video offers a look at the in-plant's unique fulfillment operation. Using data about potential students gathered by Admissions, in-plant employees collect the requested brochures and materials, package them, address them and mail them out. Materials reach the future students within a week.
The new video, which includes a tour of the Eagle Images copy and retail center in the student union, can be viewed here.
