The University of Texas at Austin has just finished moving its 52-employee Document Services operation to a new location, about eight miles from campus.
The in-plant’s new five-color 24×29˝ Komori Lithrone SX29 press, after spending just a year in the old facility, has been reinstalled in the new 36,000-square-foot plant—which is 28 percent smaller than the previous facility. That building will be taken down this month to make way for an athletic facility.
Despite the smaller footprint, Director Richard Beto points out some of the positives of the move.
"The building's new," points out . "Everything's freshly painted. The work environment, honestly, is pretty nice in here."
