Two New Large-Format Systems Launched by Canon U.S.A.

On Tuesday, Canon U.S.A. launched the Océ PlotWave 345 and Océ PlotWave 365 large-format printing systems, which are made to meet the exacting demands of the professional CAD environment and produce high-quality technical documents. Based on award-winning Océ Radiant Fusing technology, these systems reportedly save both time and energy costs with instant-on printing performance.

"These systems were developed with the needs of walk-up users in mind. Those who require on-demand print, copy, and scan functionality, with minimal system interaction and a high level of ease-of-use” said Toyo Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “These users look for systems that can easily be placed and integrated into their workgroup. And with data security becoming a greater concern to organizations, the Océ PlotWave 345/365 systems offer options for advanced security features and hardening such as electronic file shredding, IPsec, a removable hard disk, and disc encryption.”

The new systems were built to retrieve files from the cloud using a smart phone or computer, or to send a print request to the printer via Océ Publisher Mobile. The new Océ PlotWave models make it possible to print from and scan to a folder on a user’s workstation with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) integration.

With the ability to go from sleep mode to print in hand in less than 40 seconds, the new Océ PlotWave 345/365 systems were built with busy professionals in mind. They print up to 6 D-size prints per minute on a single or dual media rolls. With a multifunction option, users are able to scan or copy while printing to save even more time.

The large 10.4” Océ ClearConnect color touchscreen interface is designed to operate like a tablet or smartphone. An easy-to-learn interface with simple layout with on-screen previews help users get their prints faster, without errors, even when they are stored in the cloud or have just arrived in an email on their mobile phone. Everything from document delivery and media roll placement to toner loading and print job management has been carefully designed to be ergonomically correct and intuitive.

The new Océ PlotWave Systems are now available and will be sold through Canon Solutions America and its authorized dealers.
