Two In-plant Gatherings at Chicago Trade Show
As a bonus for in-plants planning to attend Print 09 in Chicago, In-Plant Graphics and the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) are each presenting a separate educational session, exclusively for in-plants.
The first of the two sessions will be a breakfast roundtable on Monday, September 14, from 8:30-10:00 (before the show opens). This event, sponsored by Ricoh, will focus on digital color printing, and will take place in room N-136 in McCormick Place. IPG Editor Bob Neubauer will discuss digital printing trends in the in-plant industry, and will moderate a discussion on a variety of topics such as:
• Barriers preventing in-plants from moving into digital color—and how to overcome them.
• Affordability of digital color presses and tips on selecting the right one.
• Problems in-plants have faced and how they overcame them.
• How in-plant managers are weathering the recession and finding new work.
This roundtable is open to all in-plants and will be a great opportunity for managers to meet one another and share stories over breakfast. (RSVP to jmarcial@napco.com.)
The next day, Tuesday, September 15, IPMA will present a session on Web-to-print solutions for in-plants. Starting at noon in room 502a/b (lunch will be provided), the 90-minute meeting will bring together four software companies with in-plant printers to showcase their Web-to-print solutions and offer insights into the key components of a successful system. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion with software providers Avanti, Canon, EFI and Printer Presence.
