Xerox and outsourcing were the themes that captured the most attention from IPG readers in February. A list of the top five most viewed stories last month includes three about Xerox, for obvious reasons given its recent business decisions.
- In-plants React to Fuji Xerox Deal: Though our initial story breaking the news that Fujifilm would take over Xerox broke IPG viewing records, it came out on the last day of January, so those views weren't counted in February. This follow-up story in which in-plant managers aired their opinions on the deal, was far and away the most-read story of the month.
- Xerox Responds to In-plant Complaints: Unrelated to the Fujifilm deal, Xerox executives agreed to discuss problems that in-plants have had with Xerox service in an IPMA webinar. Their candid responses were refreshing to hear.
- Outsourcing Out! In-plants Back In: Even as some short-sighted organizations make the poor decision to shutter their in-plants, others that have made that mistake in the past are restarting their in-plants after giving the outsourcing vendor the heave-ho for poor service.
- Commentary: What’s Behind Fujifilm Acquisition of Xerox? An analysis of the aforementioned Fujifilm-Xerox deal grabbed a lot of attention early in February.
- Canon Discusses Strong 2017 Growth, Future Plans During Press Event: IPG attended an event hosted by Canon in which the company discussed its strong growth in 2017 and its future plans.
