Top-quality Printing
In-plants submitted more than 400 entries to In-Print 2014, the only national printing contest exclusively for in-plants. After a full day of judging, 66 winning pieces were selected, from 35 different in-plants, including 30 Gold award winners from 22 in-plants.
The biggest winner was the University of Oklahoma, which pulled in seven awards, four of them Gold. Three in-plants won four awards each: University of Delaware, Kohler Co. and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first two won one Gold apiece.
Both Bucknell University and the Church of Scientology International scored three Gold awards. Other three-award winners were Washington State University and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
Once again this year, entries in the non-offset categories surpassed those in the offset group. Almost 60 percent of the entries were printed on toner or inkjet devices.
Prizes will be awarded on June 11 during a ceremony at the IPMA conference in Milwaukee, at which time the Best of Show winners in the offset and non-offset categories will be revealed.
