“Printed materials provide a unique sensory experience that digital screens cannot match … resulting in increased understanding and memory retention compared to reading on digital devices.”
This strong statement was one of several points made in a blog by Amy Palmer, Printing Services Technician at the Region 7 Education Service Center print center, in Kilgore, Texas. Her goal was to outline for her district why print still holds value in a digital age.
She noted the importance of print as a marketing tool and as a way to reduce screen fatigue, and detailed the print industry’s progress toward sustainable practices. Read her full blog here to get ideas for your own message to your parent organization.
