After ranking the largest in-plants in the country by both sales and employees, In-plant Impressions has combined those lists to calculate the sales per employee of each of those large operations.
Ranking in-plants by the average amount of sales each employee generates allows us to compare the efficiency and productivity of different-sized operations. It often brings smaller in-plants to the top of the list.
Some of our key findings in 2024:
- Six government printing operations and two healthcare in-plants made the top 10.
- Only three in-plants made the top 10 list in both overall sales and sales per employee.
- The average sales per employee number for all in-plants listed is $246,152, which is $52,651 more per employee than a year ago.
