Each year IPG polls the largest in-plants in the country and ranks them according to size. Though government and university in-plants tend to dominate the list, a fair number of other industries are represented as well, such as manufacturing, retail, financial, insurance and school districts.
We went through our 2016 list and pulled out all of the K-12 in-plants to give you a look at this sector of the market. Though their annual sales average $3,498,057, the largest of the top five generates quite a bit more revenue. Click here to see who the five largest school district in-plant are.
