The Challenge of Change in the New Era of Print
Andy Paparozzi, NAPL's Chief Economist, and Consultant Steven Schnoll will set the stage at the Executive Outlook Conference, which will precede Graph Expo, in Chicago. Taking place on Saturday, October 2, the conference will focus on "The Challenge of Change in the New Era of Print."
Paparozzi will discuss economic trends and their impact on print. Schnoll will follow, discussing what is happening in the print marketplace and what printers must do to participate. He will also point out the vertical markets most likely to offer growth opportunities.
Following these sessions, the conference will then focus on new-era technology. Speakers include InfoTrends Group Director Jim Hamilton, Consultant Ray Prince, Consultant Hal Hinderliter and David Hunter, principal of the Pilot Marketing Group. A panel of printers, moderated by NAPL's Howie Fenton, will offer practical insight into how to achieve success with a mix of press technologies.
"A printer's success in the new era of print will depend upon a complex mix of the state of a still-recovering economy, changing customer requirements, the extent that electronic alternatives impinge on print, and the printer's ability to co-mingle print with e-alternatives in a multi-media environment," notes Conference Chair, Bill Lamparter, president of the PrintCom Consulting Group.
