Each year IPI polls the largest in-plants in the country and ranks them according to size. Though government and university in-plants tend to dominate the list, a fair number of other industries are represented as well, including school districts.
We went through our 2023 list and ranked all of the K-12 in-plants to give you a look at this sector of the market. Though their annual sales average $2,382,000, the largest of the top 10 generates quite a bit more revenue. Their average number of employees is 16. Here’s a look:
