The Central Pennsylvania chapter of the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) held a technology day recently at Penn State’s Multimedia and Print Center. Hosted by Xerox, the event brought 12 in-plant representatives together for a day of conversation and education.
Abbas Badani, director of PSU’s Multimedia and Print Center, shared how the in-plant’s printing and mailing services have grown and improved over the past several years. He explained how print is purchased through the shop’s storefront and showed examples of how its Web-based ordering system is used. Following his presentation, the group enjoyed an in-depth tour of the mailing and fulfillment center as well as the entire print shop.
Courtney Smith of Xerox spoke about the role the company played in helping Penn State’s in-plant make improvements. She also talked about specific marketing tools Xerox offers to the in-plant market.
