Step Forward, a new initiative from Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., will provide a forum for giving and receiving advice and support to women at all career levels. The monthly program will commence at the company's headquarters in Ramsey, NJ, and will include an inspirational presentation from Rick Taylor, president and COO of Konica Minolta. The program will be rolled out to all Konica Minolta branches in the U.S.
Step Forward is intended for both male and female audiences, and will encourage the advancement of women through the development of leadership skills, sharing experiences and best practices. Guest speakers will take part in the series and will include representatives from a variety of industries. Future speakers include: Amelia Duggan, editor, 201 Magazine; Leslie Grossman, author of "Link Out: How to Turn Your Network into a Chain of Lasting Connections"; and the first female Mayor of Ramsey, Deirdre Dillon.
Kay Du Fernandez, the vice president of strategic business development for Konica Minolta Business Solutions, has spearheaded the program. Fernandez is the executive sponsor of Step Forward and was voted one of the top 10 female leaders in the technology industry by the Cannata Report.
“We are excited to be launching the Ramsey Step Forward initiative which will provide a positive framework for women in their careers,” said Fernandez. “This is an opportunity for them to network, offer advice, collaborate and exchange ideas which will help propel their growth so they know that they are a valued member with a voice.”
