Sponsored by both IPG and the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association, In-Print 2011 is the only national printing contest exclusively for in-plants.
"Like previous years, I was blown away by the impressive quality of all the entries," comments IPMA Awards Chairperson Chris Anderson. "The quality of work submitted this year did not make the judges work easy, and we had to get critical on many levels to come to our decisions."
Some of the top winners this year were the University of Oklahoma, with 13 total awards (eight of them Gold); the University of Texas-Austin, with eight awards (four Gold); the University of North Texas, with six awards (all Gold); and Briggs & Stratton, with six awards (three Gold).
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints won five awards, and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and the University of Delaware each won four. Coming in with three awards each were the University of Missouri, Brigham Young University and Washington State University.
The Gold Award winners were placed in consideration for the Best of Show award (one for offset and one for non-offset). These winners will be revealed during IPMA's Awards Banquet on June 8, held in conjunction with IPMA's Educational Conference in Charleston, S.C. All of the 75 winning entries will be on display during the IPMA Awards Reception immediately preceding the banquet.
