Sherri J. Isbell has been elected to be the next President-Elect of the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association. Isbell's term began Feb. 1, and she will succeed current President Dwayne Magee on Jan. 1 2019. Isbell is the fourth woman to lead the association during its 54 years of existence.
“Being part of an organization like IPMA and then asked to be its leader is a great honor. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from a variety of industries all working toward the same goal of empowering in-plants. Now I have the opportunity to move IPMA forward,” Isbell said.
A member of the senior management team at the University of Oklahoma, Isbell's tenure at the institution exceeds 25 years. She is responsible for the direction of customer service, specialty printing, mailing, marketing and supervises a large staff at multiple locations.
As an IPMA member for many years, Isbell has attended numerous conferences, served on several committees and held leadership positions at the national and local level. Currently, she is the member representative on the IPMA Board of Directors and the VP of the Oklahoma City Chapter. She was presented with the Outstanding Contributor Award for service to the association in 2013. Isbell is a founding member of the Franklin Stamp and Ink Society and is a Certified Printing Service Specialist conferred by the Society of Service Professionals in Printing.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she has made the customer service, sales, mailing and marketing efforts at OU Printing, Mailing and Documents Services one of the best in the country. IPG ranked the University of Oklahoma's in-plant as the largest university in-plant according to annual sales ($16.7 million) and the in-plant has won more than 250 awards over the years.
Isbell resides in Norman, Okla., with her husband Jerry and their show dog Kula. When not working, she enjoys handling Kula in the show ring where he has completed his AKC Grand Championship.
Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 180 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.
