Screen Expands Chicago Demo Center

Reconstruction of the Screen (USA) Demonstration Center in Rolling Meadows, Ill., is now complete. With more than 12,000 square feet of demo space, including two visitor lounges, the newly modernized center enables clients to see the widest range of digital printing solutions offered by any manufacturer in the world.

In February, Screen joined with Konica Minolta Business Solutions and MCS, Inc. to host a technology open house at the demo center. It drew more than 60 customers.

The Demonstration Center was designed with flexibility and efficiency in mind, to facilitate on-site demonstrations and consultations that concentrate on each customer’s specific digital printing needs. It is located just a short 15-minute car ride from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, offering easy “in-and-out, same-day demos.” In addition, the customer can see and test-print various printing units, including high-speed web, sheetfed and wide-format printing, maximizing their time and exposure to various hardware and related software solutions in a single trip.

The facility boasts several high-speed, high-quality Truepress inkjet devices that are used for all types of high-speed commercial printing, transactional, transpromotional, direct mail, signs, displays, industrial, textile and other general graphics printing projects. Coming soon will be the sheetfed Truepress JetSX variable printing system for short-run, fast-turnaround, high-registration accuracy work, with 100 percent variable data duplexing capability.
