Rochester Software Associates (RSA), provider of production print workflow software solutions for in-plant print centers, commercial printers and PSPs introduced the latest release of WebCRD in-plant Web to Print software at the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) annual conference in Lincoln, Nebraska. Education in-plant print centers were the first to see the significant WebCRD wide-format enhancements with live demonstrations.
This new release of WebCRD will increase automation and flexibility and streamline wide format ordering with custom sizes and pricing by square foot (for materials, impressions and finishing) and provide an online preview and instant estimate of wide format jobs with finishing.
An in-plant print center manager who tested the software noted, “This release is going to cut down a lot of our labor. Having the customer see what the job looks like prior to ordering with scaling is huge. These enhancements will handle a lot of what we receive for wide format orders.”
Director of Sales, Ben Parker noted, “The enhancements to WebCRD’s wide format capabilities in this release have gained a lot of interest from our customers and partners. With the recent growth of wide format business, print centers are eager to find ways to automate the wide format production process.” Continuing he said, “WebCRD’s unique ability to automatically detect document sizes and orientation, as well as lock the aspect ratio will make it easy for customers to order and eliminate manually scaling the output size proportionately.”
