Roland DGA Corporation, a leading provider of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D devices, has released the VersaSTUDIO BT-12 – an affordable direct-to-garment desktop printer ideal for printing directly on cotton-based products.
The new VersaSTUDIO BT-12 makes printing directly on cotton* apparel and accessories easy, efficient, and cost-effective. With the BT-12, users can print full-color graphics, including photos, logos and text, directly on T-shirts, tote-bags, interior décor items, and more. Its small footprint and attractive pricing allow individuals and businesses to personalize products with a low initial investment and in locations where space may be limited, such as retail shops, kiosks, gift shops, tourist destinations and special event venues.
The footprint of the BT-12, which measures 15.7” (W) x 29.9” (D), includes a finishing unit stacked with the printer unit. This clever design dramatically reduces the installation space that is typically required for a traditional direct-to-garment printer and finishing unit combination.
Included, user-friendly Roland Design Software makes the new BT-12 incredibly easy to use, even for novices. The intuitive software and hardware interface allows anyone to create unique personalized apparel and accessories with minimal training.
“Roland has been a key player in the production of graphics for custom apparel and fabric goods for many years,” said Lily Hunter, Roland DGA Product Manager, Textiles and Consumable Supplies. “The addition of the BT-12 to our product line satisfies growing demand for a compact, value-packed direct-to-garment printer that offers outstanding performance alongside the benefits of Roland’s renowned customer service and support.”
Capable of producing a product from start to finish in as little as five minutes, the BT-12 is the perfect tool for enhancing cotton-based products with graphics directly, and with very little effort. “The ease of use, high quality results and low cost of the BT-12 make it unbeatable for on-demand apparel and accessory personalization in a wide-variety of settings,” added Hunter. “It’s designed to suit the needs – and the budgets – of those seeking to enter this lucrative, rapidly growing market quickly, easily and affordably.”
* Fabric must be 50-100% cotton.
