Chamberlain Named Xplorer of the Year
Roger A. Chamberlain, manager of Administrative Services—Printing, Mail Center, Supply at The Cincinnati Insurance Co., has been named Xplorer of the Year by Xplor International, also known as The Electronic Document Systems Association. Xplor’s most prestigious award, it honors significant service to the association, dedication to the Xplor mission and notable achievement promoting the interest of the electronic document systems industry.
“Roger exemplifies all that is Xplor,” praises Skip Henk, president/CEO of Xplor. “He is always involved, willing to share and the first to raise his hand when something needs to get done.”
Chamberlain began managing the print operations at The Cincinnati Insurance Co. in 1999. In 2009 he accepted administrative oversight of the mail center as well. The in-plant recently won a Gold award in the In-Print 2012 contest.
“Much of our success has come from focusing on our most important asset: our associates,” he says. “Identifying and training the right people for the right positions was critical. By doing so, we re-engineered our operations to be customer and profit focused and eliminated over $1 million in annual outsource expenses.”
An Xplor member since 2000, Chamberlain has served as chapter/region treasurer, secretary, vice president and president. A strong industry advocate, Chamberlain serves on the board of directors of Printing Industries of Ohio and N. Kentucky and chairs the group’s Southern Region Advisory Council. He is president of the Xplor Midwest Region and recently joined the board of directors of Xplor International. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
