For many in-plants, when COVID-19 hit, they had to make changes quickly, sometimes using workarounds that were clumsy or error prone. It’s time to rethink some of those process and workflow changes. In a new blog on the RSA website, Consultant Howie Fenton discusses some of the lessons in-plants have learned and how they can better prepare for the future.
Among the big changes in-plants made during the pandemic, Fenton observes, were moving to a remote workforce model, changing distribution methods, and training workers to cover for operators unable to come into the shop. Fenton looks into all of these issues in his new blog.
