Plans for the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association's 50th conference are coming along well, according to IPMA officials. Registration numbers are looking good, which is great news at a time when some industry events are struggling to fill seats. "We're ahead of where we were last year at this point," says IPMA President Debbie Pavletich. "Vendor participation is going very, very well."
The group is meeting in Rochester, NY, this year, the home of both Xerox and Eastman Kodak. Tours of both companies' facilities are on the agenda, as are seven keynotes and 28 educational sessions.
Well-known speaker and author (and occasional comedian) Frank Romano will be one of the featured speakers. He'll be joined by Barb Pellow, Group Leader, Info Trends; Howie Fenton, Senior Consultant for Digital Technology for NAPL; and Bob Neubauer, Editor of In-Plant Graphics.
Some of the topics to be discussed at sessions include variable data printing, Web-to-print, multi-channel marketing, equipment justification and the question "Will Digital Ever Replace Offset?"
To save $300 off the registration fee, in-plant managers should be sure to register by March 15. For more information visit www.ipma.org/Conference/IPMA2009/tabid/152/Default.aspx
