The IPMA conference begins one month from today. From June 20-24, more than 140 in-plant managers will head to Denver for the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association’s annual conference.
With the theme “Reaching New Heights,” the event will feature educational sessions and keynote presentations designed to give attendees new ideas to help transform their in-plants. A two-day vendor fair will feature dozens of equipment and software providers, who will show off products tailored for in-plants. And endless peer networking will let managers share ideas that are working in their operations.
To mix things up, the awards banquet will take place on the second full day of the event, Wednesday, June 22. The winners of the In-Print 2016 awards will be honored, and the Best of Show winners will be revealed. Attendees will once again get the chance to vote for an “attendees’ choice” award. Also, IPMA will celebrate the winners of the IPMA Awards, including the In-house Promotional Excellence Award, the Mail Center Award and the Print Center Award.
The entire group will travel to the nearby Ricoh Customer Innovation Center in Boulder for a closer look at Ricoh’s production print technology, including its cut-sheet and continuous-feed devices, wide-format solutions and software components. There will also be several educational sessions taking place in the facility. There will also be a tour of the University of Colorado, Boulder's in-plant.
Each day of the conference will feature keynote presentations:
- Joe Webb, Ph.D., will offer a “State of the Industry” executive summary.
- Consultant Howie Fenton will reveal “New Strategies to Increase Your In-plant’s Performance.”
- Michael D. Brown, former Under Secretary of Homeland Security, will discuss “Personal Resilience at Home and Work: Surviving the Crisis You Never Expected.”
- Motivational speaker and author Steve Gilliland will challenge attendees to change in new and positive ways.
Among the topics to be covered at conference sessions:
- Telling your story and relating to your parent organization.
- Partnering with your IT department.
- Making your strategic plan a reality.
- Technology do’s and don’ts for in-plants.
- Better management through intentional leadership.
- Inkjet and the public sector.
