Each year, In-plant Impressions ranks the largest in-plant printing operations in North America based on their annual sales and total employee count. Since university in-plants make up a significant portion of this list, we've developed a separate ranking specifically comparing higher-education in-plants. Here are some key highlights:
- Nine university in-plants generated more than $6 million in revenue.
- Four university in-plants have more than 50 employees.
- Though many have smaller staffs than last year, seven reported more employees in 2024 than in 2023.
- Fourteen of the 25 largest (56%) are west of the Mississippi River.
