Ranking the Largest Government In-plants

Government agencies require a lot of printing. To provide it, some of them have built very large in-plant operations. We have ranked the largest government in-plants by number of employees and annual sales.

Some of our findings:

• State printing operations, 12 in all, dominate the list.
• Two city in-plants from the same state made the list, both reporting similar sales figures.
• Though many reduced their staffs since last year, two government in-plants reported more employees in 2020 than in 2019.
