A new flexible magnetic material that is free of PVC, phthalate and halogen content, has come to market, suitable for use with UV, latex, and eco-solvent inks. Produced by Magnetic Solutions, Green Power took 18 months to develop and was created to be used on Canon Colorado wide-format printers, according to an article in Printweek.
“Magnets and magnetic materials by their nature are not green products to create, so anything we can do to produce a greener alternative is a step in the right direction,” Jon Denton, general manager of Magnetic Solutions, told Printweek.
