Don Starck has been appointed technical services manager at Diversified Graphic Machinery (DGM). Starck is now responsible for project management and installation of Foildex cold foil indexing systems, as well as Filmdex UV cast and cure systems. He worked for more than 26 years in various positions at manroland North America.
Two appointments have been made at KBA North America. Martin (Marty) Pierce has been selected as the new Mid-Atlantic sales manager for KBA's sheetfed offset press sales in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC. Sam Pernice has joined the company in a dual role as the new web offset sales representative in the West, while also handling web parts and service solutions for KBA customers throughout the United States.
Four new appointments has been made at Mohawk. John Parsons is the digital specialist for the Southeast region and is based in Jacksonville, FL. Meri Ann Allen is the digital specialist for the Western region, servicing Mohawk customers in Utah, Idaho and Montana. Shannon Greer is the new digital specialist for the South Central region, covering Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma. Also, Beth Reardon has rejoined the company as district sales manager, national accounts. Most recently employed at Appleton Coated, she now reports to Ted O'Connor, senior vice president of sales.
Ina Schlechte Maske, vice president of marketing, has retired from Prime UV Systems after nearly 15 years of service.
Two appointments have been made at Vecoplan LLC. Mike Maloy has joined as a project engineer; and Jason Schultz has been promoted to client support manager.
ILFORD, a developer and manufacturer of media for inkjet printing, graphic arts and color photographic processes, has acquired CMA Graphix Group, a provider of inkjet papers across Europe and the United States.
Diannah Perez has been promoted to controller for Sakurai's North American operations. She will also provide customer service support.
Scodix Ltd. has opened a distribution warehouse in Chicago to further accelerate its distribution turnaround times of consumables and spare parts for North and South American customers. The warehouse is managed by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
