Presstek Wins Patent Infringement Case

The Higher Court Dusseldorf, Germany has upheld a Regional Court decision finding Israeli manufacturer VIM Technologies in violation of Presstek’s German patent on printing plates. The Court has ordered VIM and defendant Reinsch Handel to immediately cease and desist from selling any of the infringing VIM products in Germany. VIM has also been ordered to provide to Presstek detailed information on all sales of the infringing products in Germany for a six-year period. The plates at issue in the proceeding were the VIM DP-R28 and DP-R36 Lithographic Printing Plates.
