Portland General Electric Earns NAPL Gold Award
For the second year in a row, Portland General Electric’s Printing & Automated Mail Services team has been honored with a Gold Management Plus Award from the National Association For Printing Leadership (NAPL).
PGE was one of only three Gold Award winners this year, and the only in-plant winner. In fact, the Portland, Ore.-based shop is the only in-plant in the country to earn the award over the past six years.
“Earning an NAPL Gold award is a great honor for PGE and the Print and Mail Services team,” says Wes Friesen, manager of Revenue Collection & Community Offices. “The award is a testimony to Supervisor Eric Houger and the entire team, and the quality work they do every day for PGE customers and internal clients. It’s exciting to see the team receive national recognition for their efforts.”
NAPL’s Management Plus Program is a corporate development and assessment program for the printing industry. Scoring for the competition involved the evaluation of the following categories: Human Resources; Strategic Business Planning; Environmental/Safety Concerns; Community/Industry Relations; Marketing/Sales Plan; Internal Control Systems; Quality Assurance; Vendor Relations; and Financial Performance.
