Pekin Insurance has installed a Xerox Brenva HD cut-sheet production inkjet press in its in-plant, located just south of Peoria, Ill. The device will help the in-plant keep up with rising volumes of policy and billing statements.
“Since we strictly focus on cut sheet, the Brenva HD made perfect sense for our environment,” says Heidi Hutchison, operations manager. “But, beyond that, we were looking for a modern device that would be able to adapt as our company’s needs change.”
The Brenva HD will allow Pekin to send out four-color messages to customers with their billing and policy statements, as well as pursue higher-volume marketing pieces cost-effectively. The company was utilizing two Xerox Highlight Color 180s and one Versant 80 when it made the decision to become one of the first Brenva HD installations in the country.
“Historically, we’ve been conservative with technology, but this was one of the few times we’ve been cutting-edge,” says Phil Evans, director of administrative services at Pekin Insurance.
Pekin is even hoping to add another Brenva HD to the in-plant's arsenal down the line, allowing it to complete more variable and on-demand jobs as needed.
